Description

Portable Tire Baler

  • Upgraded Kohler motor 20 hp
    • The upgraded gas motor is stronger than the original and can make a tighter bale
    • Tighter bale is not necessary, but would enable 5-10 more tires per bale
  • Will bale up to size 20" light truck tires
  • Total hours unknown
  • No hydraulic leaks
  • Dual axle trailer, 4 tires total
    • Tires are in good shape
  • Hydraulic cylinders are in good shape
  • Wear liners are in good shape
  • Requires 7 or 8 ram pushes for maximum bale of about 90-100 tires
    • Maximum bale weighs approximately 2,000-2,200lbs
  • On first push, about 15+ tires are compressed
  • On second push, 12-14 tires
  • On final push, 4-6 tires
  • Approximate bale size is 76" x 34" x 36"
  • Three 1.25" x 37mm bands are threaded around the finished bale
  • Sometimes I add a 4th band if I intend to move the bale a long distance or if it has been made especially tight
  • 800ft of banding does 8 or 9 bales and costs approximately $100
  • Banding clips are $100 for 1,000 count
  • For a tight bale it may take over 30 minutes; a lighter shorter bale will take less time
    • Loading takes less time than banding the finished bale
