This machine caught fire in December 2025. We replaced it with a larger shredder and are selling this machine as-is where-is.

Purchase will include the remote all spare parts we currently have in storage.

The grates, hammers, rotor, and liners in the machine have approx. 75% life left.

 

The shredder was inspected by 3Tek after the fire and they made the following assessment:

 

General Shredder Details: Overall, the structure seems to be repairable

Disk Rotor design: 4 Pin with 9 Disks
Width side wall to side wall: 80” (2,032 mm)
Shredder Wall thickness: 1.5” (38.1 mm)
Wear Liner thickness:  3” (76.2 mm)
Infeed Conveyor: 19’ (5.8 m) integral to feed ramp with steel support truss
Feed Ramp: 10 ft. (3.0 m) long
Single Feed Roll: 42” (1,067 mm) diameter tip to tip with variable speed 6-10 RPM

 

Rotor Details: Seems to be intact and in okay condition

Rotor Speed: 750 rpm
Hammer Swing Diameter: 62” tip to tip (1,575 mm)
Rotor Bearing and lubrication: 10” (254 mm) bearings with grease lubrication and RTD (resistive temperature device) on each bearing for protection.
Hammer Pin Diameter: 3 7/8” (98 mm)

Feed System: The hydraulics need to be repaired. We cannot test the infeed to assess damage until the hydraulic system is repaired. We are presuming it is in good mechanical condition.

 

Infeed Conveyor Integral: Nominal 19’ (5.9 m) heavy duty piano style infeed conveyor. This horizontal infeed conveyor is integral to the feed ramp while the outboard end is supported by an adjustable vertical reinforced steel support member. The infeed conveyor’s speed is adjustable and controlled automatically by the IQAN Control system. Two conveyor side walls are supplied. One is 5’ (1.5 m) tall and the other is 2’ (.61 m).

 

Feed Ramp: 10 feet (3.0 m) long, replaceable AR wear plates under feed roll. Side walls ½” (12.7 mm) thick.

 

Single Feed Roll System:

• Hydraulic Drive: One hydraulic motor driven by closed loop piston pump

 

Feed Roll:

• 36” (914 mm) drum diameter, 42” (1,067 mm) outer tooth diameter

• Speed Reducer: Two heavy duty pulleys with Kevlar V belts reduce speed from 1750 diesel engine RPM to 750 shredder rotor RPM. This drive train design is specifically chosen to handle the shock loads and high torque required during the shredding operation.

• Control system with remote master display has multicolored graphical module with easy-to-read display
